Organic Thai Tom Yum Soup Sutharos Thai


  • Sutharos Tom Yum Soup Meal Kit - Comes with organic tom yum seasoning, chili paste, organic dried herbs, and organic ground chili

  • ½ lbs of white button mushrooms, cut into bite sized pieces

  • 1/2 lbs of shrimp, shelled and deveined

  • ¼ lbs squid, cut into bite sized pieces

  • 2 tomatoes, cut into quarters

  • Cilantro, finely chopped or loosely chopped, for garnish

Tom Yum Soup incorporates all the four classic Thai tastes, which are sweet, savory, spicy, and sour. The soup gets its flavors from famous Thai ingredients like lemon grass, galangal, kaffir lime leaf, and 
Thai chili peppers. The soup usually also includes shrimp, mushrooms, and coriander leaves. Thought to be healthy and to possess healing qualities, Tom Yum is a great soup to make any time of the year!

Cooking Steps

  1. Prepare the broth: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium sized pot. Add the organic tom yum seasoning, organic chili paste, and dried herbs to the water and stir for 2-3 minutes.*

  2. Prepare the seafood and vegetables: Add the mushrooms and tomatoes and let cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add the shrimp, squid, and baby octopus and cook for 2-3 minutes or until fully cooked.

  3. Garnish with cilantro and lime, ready to serve!

    * Add the organic dried red chilis during step 3 for extra spice. Be careful, these are very spicy!
